Amazon’s Founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos announced their first entrant into the highly competitive smartphone industry – The Fire Phone. The presentation was loaded with some excellent new features of the handset and Fire OS to attract potential buyers across the globe but there were also a few efforts to attract developers as well. The Fire SDKs are available now and make it easy for developers to take advantage of the  features like Dynamic Perspective, Firefly, Shortcut Gestures, Active Widgets and more in their apps. These SDKs were designed to offer developers the power and flexibility with pre-built controls, low level APIs and complete UI frameworks.

The Dynamic Perspective SDK allows developers to integrate real-time information into their app’s user experience and also enables them to go one step beyond static images and offer their users the opportunity to zoom in on the photos and then peek around the room with the use of this amazing SDK. The Dynamic Perspective SDK also includes a series of APIs and Controls to help developers create peek, tilt and zoom capabilities within their apps based on customer head movements and provide them with the quick navigation menus by tilting the device to the left or right. These unique experiences are created through a variety of visual effects including adding shadows, depth, tracking head and motion gestures.

The Firefly SDK comes with in-built recognizers and databases for products, music, movies, URLs and websites as well as in-built actions such as dialing a phone number, looking up an object on Amazon or going to a certain website.
